Mel Gibson is just too cool for school (or Mexican prison in this case) or anybody for that matter in this 2012 nonstarter for his career relaunch.  Sent to jail by the Federales after a million dollar heist, Gibson (Mad Max) finds himself vying to survive in a self sustaining ecosystem of the worst of the worst from South of the Border.  Using the friendship of a small boy that he takes under his trecherous wing inside a bizarre prison ecosystem, Mel schemes, cheats, kills, and weasels his way closer to freedom as a rich interned gang leader holds sway over the populous searching for a cure his liver problems (which unluckily turns out to be the same kid).  Undeniably snappy, spicily violent yet way too smug for its own good, the Gringo has a lot of forward momentum ruined by it's unbelievable douchebaggery.  Sound familiar Mel?
