The Car (PG) - Review
"Car that Eats People"
Josh Brolin leads a town against a maniacal killer car that has been slaying the citizens of the remote Utah town of Santa Ynez. While abnormally silly, there are in fact great surprises here in the plot and great inventiveness in the action. Influenced by many killer car films before it, influential to many films after (Stephen King's Christine or an episode of Futurama for instance), The Car itself never quite switches out of its lower gears. It instead grinds along burtally spewing toxic fumes, getting fewer scares per gallon than its comparable models.
5.5 Open to a Sequel Endings out of 10 (MEDIOCRE)
